Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh created Dora. Dora's voice actress is Katherine Herles. The goal of Dora the Explorer is to showcase Latino culture and also help children of every culture become comfortable with new experiences. They also want children to learn how to solve problems and overcome obstacles by thinking things through.
